1982 UK Championship (snooker)

The 1982 Coral UK Championship took place at the Guildhall, Preston from 20 November with TV stages shown on BBC TV took place between 27 November and 4 December 1982.

Terry Griffiths won his first and only UK Championship, by winning the last 3 frames to beat Alex Higgins 16–15. He also beat defending champion Steve Davis, who had beaten him in the previous final on his way to victory. The highest break of the tournament was 137 made by Higgins.
